Dr. Girdler holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology from Western University, where he graduated with Honours. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic with Honours distinction from New York Chiropractic College.

Dr. Girdler grew up in Richmond Hill with a strong background in athletics. From a young age he was competing in AAA hockey and baseball, both high school and club level volleyball, high school lacrosse, and tennis. Today he continues to be very active in Aurora’s sporting community as a member of the Aurora Community Tennis Club, Goodlife Fitness, and adult hockey and volleyball leagues. Dr. Girdler’s competitive sports history has given the opportunity for greater understanding of sport specific biomechanics and how they might relate to specific injuries, as well as optimal rehabilitation approaches. This knowledge and understanding of injuries is not only applicable to athletes, but to the everyday person with back pain or any other muscle or joint pain in the body.
Dr. Girdler has experience treating patient in both the United States and Canada. He has treated many athletes across New York State at running events and United States war veterans at the Western New York Veterans Affairs Hospital in Buffalo, NY. 
When treating patients, Dr. Girdler’s number one concern is listening to the needs of his patient. Whether it is to reduce pain, increase ease of movement, prevent of injury, or enhance physical performance, Dr. Girdler will make every attempt to work with that patient to reach their healthcare goals. 

As each patient presents with unique circumstances, it is essential that each treatment protocol be individualized to that patient. Having many different treatment options is invaluable in achieving optimal outcomes for patients. Dr. Girdler utilizes several treatment protocols, including chiropractic manual adjusting, myofascial release, KinesioTaping, and Graston Techniques. Dr. Girdler also encourages his patients to make improvements to overall health through stretching, exercise, diet, sleep, and workplace ergonomics in order to achieve optimal results.
